Midnight's Promise Estate

Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and expansive views to the distant mountain range, Midnight’s Promise provides an opportunity to escape from busy city life and immerse yourself in the bucolic Hunter Valley wine growing region of NSW.

Situated on over 28 acres, Midnights promise is your own private oasis. After a day of exploring the famous wineries of the area, take a sunset stroll through the gardens and unwind in the serenity of the stunning surrounding landscape.

Disconnect and discover the joys of living simply – walk a quiet country lane, sample local wines and cheeses, or simply marvel at a canopy of stars on a cloudless night. This is a place that will take you away from the everyday, leaving you inspired and relaxed from the moment you arrive.

The accommodation on the Estate is located so as to achieve tranquillity and privacy for all its guests. All of the cottages have decks from which guests can take in sensational views and glorious sunsets.

The Balinese themed one bedroom cottage – Villa Janji – is totally private, with its own walled garden and pool. It is perfect for a secluded, romantic escape.

The two bedroom cottage “Lake View” is designed for one or two couples seeking luxury accommodation. The roaring fireplace is the perfect backdrop for cosy conversations or watching movies snuggled on the sofa, while the pool and wrap around verandah offer the perfect place to sit back on a warm summer’s evening.

The three bedroom cottage “Valley View” is perfect for families or small groups and offers the same high standard of accommodation. It is surrounded by landscaped gardens and the Estate’s vineyards. Celebrate the good times in life with friends or family in the spacious living area, and enjoy the many facilities that the property has to offer, including the beautiful pool in Summer.

Our Story

Midnight’s Promise Estate was purchased in early 1998 by  Sydney-based lawyer Geoff Petty, who had a vision for the undeveloped 25 acre lot that was then known as Parrot Stump Farm.

Having been in the wine industry for the previous 15 years (as an owner of Molly Morgan Vineyard – one of the founding participants in the Lovedale Long Lunch) he had clear goals – to establish a vineyard producing traditional Hunter Valley wines and a haven for guests  who, (like himself), enjoy the combination of food, wine and good company all in the historical heart of the Australian wine industry.

Now operated by the owner and his family, the Estate caters for people who want to “get away from it all” and relax in comfortable, private surroundings whether in groups in one of the cottages or in the Balinese themed couples-only Villa.
